Even the most prolific of travelers will agree that truly, there’s no place like home. But, the lure of cheap flights, travel deals, and the call of beauty waiting to be discovered can’t make you stay put. No matter where you go in the world, your heart and feet will always look forward to that cozy bedroom where your mom used to read to you at night. If you’re one weary traveler who has somewhat grown tired of staying in hotels, you’d be pleased to know that there is an alternative: renting apartments.
There is this website called Roomorama where you can search for independent apartment rentals all over the globe.
Roomorama is a database of locally owned apartments which the owners rent out for a short period of time. Roomorama acts as a broker which gives you the chance to read reviews first before you finally pick out a place to stay. You can stay for just a few days or for a couple of months. Your choices range from simple apartments to big-time luxury homes. Whether you’re on a tight budget or out to splurge, you’re sure to find something to suit your needs.
The Roomorama website is straightforward and no-nonsense. It’s easy to use and gives you a safe and secure place to book your accommodations. It’s reassuring to know that if certain issues about the apartment arise, you can always directly contact the owner by phone or email. Even before you get to the place itself, Roomorama already gives you the owner’s contact information. It’s this personal touch which dispels all doubt and anxiety.
Since I’ve always wanted to go to picturesque Prague and put my photography skills to use there, I tried typing “apartments Prague” in the search toolbar. I got a lot of results, but there’s this one in particular which caught my eye. Residence Rybná is your typical corner house in a busy but quaint neighborhood.
What I like about renting an apartment instead of staying at a hotel is that I can cook just like I do at home. You get to have your own kitchen and basically all the other amenities you have at home. It’s relaxing to know that you have your own private place. The price is also comparably cheaper to that of a hotel.
After I spend my time taking in the sights and sounds Prague has to offer, I can look forward to putting my feet up and coming home to my own (okay, rented!) home away from home.
